It is a single-ply, true 400 thread count sateen, which means the count comes from genuinely fine cotton rather than thinner yarns twisted together. The sateen weave brings more threads to the surface, giving a soft sheen and a smooth, almost cool hand as you draw the cover up. At 110 gsm it has a breathable weight that drapes well and sits cleanly across the bed. It is the same kind of cotton sateen you find in good hotels.

A 5 row pleated hem finishes the opening edge with a tailored, considered detail. It closes with buttons.
